The town of Redditch is Located in North-East Worcestershire, West Midlands. At the last census, the town had a population of over 80,000 people. Historically, the town was the international centre for the fishing tackle and needle industry, with 90% of the world’s needles having been manufactured in Redditch at one point. However, traditional industries have long been replaced in the area by light industries and services. Redditch is home to the headquarters of both Halfords, the automotive retailer, and GKN, the engineering giant.
